Branch Spotlight: Hugg & Hall Pascagoula

Welcome to Hugg & Hall Pascagoula, onsite at Bollinger Shipyards!

Meet the members of our Pascagoula branch: Michael Cuccia and Darien Peto!

Hugg & Hall’s first Mississippi branch, Pascagoula is right on the sea and onsite at Bollinger Shipyards. Much like our Amelia branch, it’s small but handles a lot of important business! These guys are responsible for Bollinger Shipyards customer operations in the area. Michael rents out equipment, and Darien keeps it in great shape.

 

Michael Cuccia, Onsite Rental Coordinator

Michael Cuccia is a Louisianan from Chalmette who moved to Gulfport, MS after graduating from LSU. After five years as a Power Tool Sales Rep, he was looking for a new opportunity. He found it with Hugg & Hall. “I had a friend from that job that was working at the H&H Shreveport office that told me they were opening an office on the coast. I celebrated three years at Hugg & Hall Pascagoula on June 5th!”

As Rental Coordinator, Michael is the main point of contact for Bollinger Shipyards in Pascagoula and Gulfport. He also handles other key accounts on the Mississippi/Alabama Coast. He says,

“I’m responsible for everything from the customer request stage to the return and inspection of equipment, as well as the operation of the yard and office.

“It’s nice being on site to help Bollinger if they have any issues. Whenever Bollinger has a question, they can come directly to us and we can help them immediately. We’ve even answered questions for their Safety Department when it comes to the functionality of the equipment.”

Michael enjoys the cooperative nature of Hugg & Hall. “I like how willing everyone is to take a phone call and help whenever you need it. Even if the problem isn’t within their particular scope, they take the time and assist where they can.”

Outside of work, you can find Michael attending LSU football games, going to country concerts, heading to the slopes for some snow skiing, or fishing!

 

 

Darien Peto, Field Service Technician

A Mississippi native, Darien grew up in Ocean Springs near Biloxi and moved to Louisiana later. After a few years at Cummins as a Heavy Marine Technician, Darien found H&H. He started as a Rental Field Service Technician with Hugg & Hall in Louisiana over five years ago.

When he got the news that Hugg & Hall was opening the Pascagoula location, Darien was happy to move back to his home state as the company expanded into Mississippi.

On the yard at Hugg & Hall, Darien puts his skills from Cummins to use regularly. When Bollinger needs a piece of equipment for their ships, Darien’s responsible for making sure it’s running and delivering it! He says, “As the Resident Tech at Hugg & Hall Pascagoula, it’s my job to keep Bollinger Shipyards up and running, and to maintain Hugg & Hall’s rental fleet.”

Darien says his favorite thing about Hugg & Hall is “the care they give towards family needs.”  Darien is a dedicated single father to three (11, 8, and 4). We are always happy to support our employees, especially parents and caretakers.

Outside of work, Darien enjoys going four-wheeling!
