Employee Excellence: Brandon Brantley

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company has a quality standard that is beyond many other companies; Brandon Brantley has gone above the standard of excellence to best serve clients in our El Dorado, AR location.

Brantley works as a delivery driver for Hugg & Hall and started with the company a month ago. He conducts day runs between Hugg & Hall locations, as well as deliveries to customers. In his short time with the company, he has made a significant impact in the delivery division. Brandon said that his favorite thing about being a driver for Hugg & Hall is, “interacting with the customers.”

Brandon’s hometown is Farmerville, Louisiana where he currently resides with his wife Nikki. He has his hands full with a son, Logan, daughters Macayla and Karlee, and a granddaughter Paisley-Brooke. He enjoys spending time with his family and has a passion for horses & equipment. You may also be surprised to know that he is afraid of heights.

In his first few weeks, Brandon has noted that every day is memorable. If he weren’t currently working for Hugg & Hall, Brantley mentioned he would like to operate equipment. He thinks it is important for others in the profession to, “Never take safety for granted.”

Employee Spotlight : Claude Martin

Meet Claude Martin!

Claude Martin – Delivery Department Manager

Martin works at the company’s Springdale, Arkansas location and has been with the company for 25 years! Martin has had a hand full of roles at Hugg & Hall during his career. He started out as a Rental Coordinator, eventually moving to Outside Rental Sales, then becoming the first Fleet Maintenance Coordinator in the company! 

Now,  Martin continues his journey with us as the Delivery Department Manager.  With Hugg & Hall having locations spanning three states, managing these delivery departments keeps him busy!

“I enjoy the day to day challenge of making things happen!” said Martin when asked about his favorite part of his position.

Martin is originally from Littleton, Colorado and moved to Arkansas in 1979. He and his wife share three beautiful daughters, five grand-kids, and one great grandchild! 

When asked about his family Martin said,  “I am so very proud of all of them!”     

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and being outdoors.

Employee Spotlight: Carl Davis

Meet Carl Davis!

Carl Davis is a Road Service Technician at the Hugg & Hall Fort Smith branch and recently celebrated his fifth work anniversary with the company! On a typical day at work, Carl is in-and-out of OK Foods in Fort Smith, making equipment repairs and performing maintenance.

Before on boarding at Hugg & Hall Equipment, Carl worked at Wiese USA for 12 years where he also worked as a Road Service Technician. Throughout his life he has always been passionate about music. Some people might be surprised to know that he also writes his own songs!

All he has is good memories at Hugg & Hall, said Carl. He enjoys the dinners supplied by Hugg & Hall because it allows them to come together and feel like family. 

When he’s not working, Carl enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Employee Spotlight: Richard Magness

Richard Magness, Field Service Manager.

Meet Richard Magness

Richard Magness has been in the service industry for more than 17 years. He began his career as a road technician. Eventually, he moved to Shop Foreperson and recently switched positions to Field Service Manager at the company’s El Dorado, AR location. Richard ensures his team is on top of their daily duties and keeps paperwork caught up throughout the day. He also helps keep the quotes, parts, and jobs on course.

His favorite part about his job is the satisfaction of fixing broken equipment. He also loves working with such a great group of people. “My most memorable moment with the company is when, after annoying Mark Gibbs to hire me—an inexperienced mechanic—he gave me a chance to become a part of the Hugg & Hall family. I’m not sure if he had confidence that I could do the job or just got tired of me asking!”

Richard is a Willisville, Arkansas native, where he lives with his wife of almost 40 years. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. In his free time, Richard enjoys going to dirt track races, playing with his puppy and spending time with his family.

Stephen Dunn, Service Manager at the Hugg & Hall El Dorado branch, recently spoke on the positive impact Richard Magness has made on the service department. “Richard has completely turned the El Dorado shop into a well-organized and profitable part of our location. He has committed to bringing our service department to a new level in team work and customer service. The shop techs will be sad to see Richard go, but every technician in El Dorado and Texarkana is excited about this next stage of his career.“
